After 10 years of being neighbors with this shop, I decided to buy a meal from them. Unfortunately, they didn't have lime, there were no walnuts on the food. I bought it myself and put walnuts on the food. It tasted burnt, the food looked very dirty, and after I ate the food, I felt sick. I feel like the health department should inspect their kitchen. I will never buy food from this Chinese restaurant again.
An independent Vietnamese restaurant with some yummy authentic dishes. Food is good with plenty of options and sufficient portion sizes. The staff were helpful and friendly. My only pointer would be that we felt a little cold whilst seated.
Came for lunch with my sister and thoroughly enjoyed myself. We ordered a few dishes to share between us and they were all great! Staff were friendly and attentive, and the meal wasn't too expensive for how much we ordered.
Around 7 years ago, I used to come here at least once a month and it was my favourite Vietnamese restaurant. The food was great and the restaurant was full on most days. I remember always needing to reserve a table to avoid disappointment. Unfortunately, I visited this restaurant again last week and I'm saddened to say that I will not be coming back. The place has clearly had a change of management since I last visited. The food tasted bland and not authentic, and their portions are a lot smaller than they used to be. I ordered a selection of my favourite Vietnamese dishes but was very disappointed. The dishes didn't even have the usual herbs and cucumber which I would expect and the spring rolls were almost empty inside. The only herb used was mint, not even any coriander, and the nuoc cham tasted weak and watered down. The vermicelli noodles in my bun cha gio dish were overcooked and hadn't been properly drained so they just tasted mushy and watery. The food was not inedible and I didn't get sick from eating here but I wouldn't recommend coming here if you want to experience authentic Vietnamese food.
Fabulous, authentic and utterly delicious! Had the best lunch today at Vy Nam. We ordered and shared mango salad, summer rolls, chicken pancake, BBQ prawns and Basa fish rice paper pancakes. Everything was so fresh and so utterly tasty. Service was excellent too, relaxed friendly and helpful. 100% recommended this place and looking forward to visiting again already
