    Joined this gym at the beginning of February and was very impressed with the polite and helpful front of house service. The gym facilities are top notch, hygienic and the staff on the gym floor went above and beyond to help me get used to the equipment. I love the spa facilities and the lifeguards are super friendly and attentive. Overall a very positive energy in the club and will be recommending to all my friends and family. 5 stars all day long!

    High turnover in staff and only a few of them ever make any sense. The "guards" by the pool are almost always (always) useless. Don't expect any help. This could be a Fusion or Better pool, differences are not that great in terms of helpfulness. Some of the "regular" members are always booked into popular (pilate) classes whether they are there or not, and the rest of us scramble on waiting list. When you joined up, it depends on who you speak to, you might or might not get a good deal (depends if they like your face or discriminate against it). Choose wisely. A few of their staff are the worst type you can get in the service industry - pretentious, made it up as they go along. The bar/cafe staff chit chat loudly but they asked members to be discreet with their phone calls when they are in the bar/cafe. A staff can eat a Tesco sandwich in the bar/cafe but they don't allow members to eat their own food. The guards at the pool would go for break together, leaving the poolside with no members of staff. Not to mention they are still letting people with babies in their nappies into their Sunday Splash. The rule says only potty-trained kids are allowed. The smiley staff at the reception couldn't tell the difference between a 5 months old and a 5 years old. That's the level of intelligence one has to accept if you are a member there. We have witnessed someone complained about the nappies but got yelled at by the on-duty manager. Don't know what happened to that person - who would accept this type of attitude - they are always better than you. Beware!

    It took me calling 3 times today to get the so called manager to call me back about prices which should be transparent on the website. He under duress eventually spoke to me, did nothing to promote the club’s benefits & confirmed to me only that I did not want to join. Get a new manager guys … this one is lazy & useless! A good friend of mine is a member … shame on you!

    I left despite living around the corner because it is just not worth the £150 a month. PTs (which are £50 a session ON TOP) are not committed and I got strung along by one for a month or so, facilities are old and not cleaned enough, some classes are good but they were always full days in advance, staff isn’t trained in hospitality (both front room and cafe). For the price (8-10x vs other local gyms), one would expect a much higher level of attention and experience.

    The duty manager put me on a "young professionals" membership when I signed up. This was a cheaper membership, but unbeknown to me, this meant I could only use the gym off peak, which was not a conversation we had. I subsequently only found out about these restrictions when my card wouldn't let me in and the front desk lady got annoyed at me about why I was trying to get into the gym before 1pm which was obviously embarrassing because I didn't know about the restrictions initially. When I questioned him on why my card was not letting me in. He lied to me and said he would leave a note on my file so I could still get in. This never happened as every time I'd attend before 1pm, I would be interrogated by the front desk about why I was trying to get in. It was only when the receptionist told me that I realised the membership i had been put on and the time restrictions that applied to it. When I emailed him about this, he dismissed me completely and continued to lie and said, "Just mention to reception that you are Young Professional and they will let you in." This manager has all the hallmarks of a snake oil salesman, and seeing some of the other reviews on here, im not the only one who thinks that. He was not truthful about the membership he was signing me up to, and thankfully, I'm no longer a member. Not to mention the outdated equipment and personal trainers who were there just for a social or to take up all the machines themselves. I wouldn't want to be a member even if it was only £30 a month, never mind £100 plus.
