Me and my partner came to fish and flame Good Friday. First time coming to eat in and the service was 100% it was spotless and the atmosphere was lovely and chilled. We had butterfly prawns and grilled prawns to start they were so juicy and with so much flavour. I had octopus for main which was so tender and the flavour was incredible, my partner had roast chicken and he said it was so juicy and tender. We both want to thank the team at fish and flame for a great meal and service.
Curry sauce and chips at Fish n Flame. A rare offering as chippies disappear in the city. This was in North London. Anyway, very comforting but something tasted funny because of the oil, but it got masked away when you ate it together. The curry sauce tasted like it was made from a powder mixture.
Great music. Comfy atmosphere. We ordered fish cake starter, cod fish and chips and also I was about to get the chicken burger but instead was recommended their chicken kebab so gave that a try and that was most definitely worth it. unique flavours with vermicelli rice. the cod fish itself was very fluffy in texture, coated with good batter. the service is immaculate. attentive, friendly and hospitable. I'd recommend this place as a must visit!
Happened upon this place by accident. I was visiting Kenwood House (which was lovely), and afterwards, we walked around looking for a place to have lunch. We looked at Fish n Flame, and decided to treat ourselves to fish and chips. It proved to be a wise choice. The gentleman who served us was very professional. He took our order and when the dish arrived, it was awesome. I honestly do not think that I ever have had fish and chips which was any better than what I enjoyed today. The food was piping hot, the batter was as one would want, not soggy, but lovely and crisp. The sauce was delicious. The chap who looked after us, checked that all was too our liking, without being intrusive. I can recommend this venue wihout hesitation.
Bad fish and chips, was much better under old management. First off, the bag that was delivered in smelt like a fish market which wasn't a good sign. Inside, the pieces of fish looked dry and tired. They tasted bad too, texture was chewy, like it had been frozen. The picture tries to show how dry it was. The worst part is they charge 17 pounds per cod on deliveroo. Never again.
