Our first time trying shabu shabu and we loved it. We were absolutely stuffed at the end of the all you can eat. staff were attentive, Asahi pints were reasonably priced. I’d also like to note that this isn’t America and it shouldn’t be a shock if you don’t want to pay 15 quid service charge. The customer should decide the tip. Other than that good experience 😀
Absolutely excellent value for the amount and quality of authentic food. Menu was huge and complex. Service was fast but our waiter( non Japanese which might be the reason) had no idea about menu items and was completely unable to help with any queries which was a little tricky so we struggled a bit. Orders can be placed via an I pad or a human. The menu is available in paper form as well as digital. The restaurant is quite basic almost cafeteria style but the food and value more than compensates. We spent £100 for 4 people including alcoholic drinks and too much food to eat which was incredibly cheap.
I’ve been to this Eat Tokyo many times and have been satisfied with everything however service today wasn’t great. The young server who initially took our order seemed impatient with us which didn’t make us feel welcome. I’ve ordered double chicken katsu curry before but was disappointed to see such a small ratio of chicken compared to the massive amount of rice. We also waited a long time for nigiris to arrive. However, food was good as always and service from the older members of staff towards the end of our meal made us feel more at ease.
This place is amazing! The food is very good quality and such good value, as portion sizes are so big. We tried many different items, and they were all great. The gyudon and oyakodon were incredible. I’ll definitely be coming back here when I get the chance!
My friends and I went to Eat Tokyo on a Friday night. We didn’t have any booking, they were quite busy as it was dinner time, but they still managed to seat us so that we didn’t wait long. There are lots of options on the menu, starters are about £3-£7. With main meals and Bento Box’s starting from £9 onwards. Staff were attentive, giving us water and making sure we were happy with everything. The vibe inside was nice, female staff are in kimonos too, so it really gives off a Japanese aesthetic. Food was delicious, very good value for money, especially in the heart of London where dinners can be quite pricey. Would recommend if you like Japanese food.
