To get straight to the point, the portion sizes are not worth value for money. I ordered a mixed shish for over £20 and as you can see there was hardly any meat and the rice quality was small too. Flavour was ok but it was pretty standard. I think there are places elsewhere in Finchley that represent better value for money when it comes to both portion size and flavour.
Excellent place to have authentic Turkish food. I went there with 4 of my work colleagues for lunch and had variety of dishes. The portion size was above average and food was tasty. Service was excellent; they didn’t hassle us or bother us too much and they were available for any help. One of the nicer things once we had the food was the fact that prices were very reasonable. Just to give you an idea, we went to a Lebanese place with the same group and it cost us twice as much and the portion size was smaller as well. So really good value for money. There are loads of street parking available as well.
This is my best and favourite local restaurant. You are sure of a great if service and very well made food served hot and fresh. Try the chicken liver - it’s amazing.
Great place to dine. Amazing service and the mixed grill was epic. 5 of us dined comfortably with one mixed grill between 5 of us plus a few chops on the side. Definitely recommend a visit.
I can’t recommend Durum Finchley Central enough! From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere made us feel right at home. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure every detail of our experience was perfect. The food was absolutely incredible—everything was bursting with authentic Turkish flavors. We started with the fresh bread and salad, which was a delightful mix of fresh hummus, For the main course, the lamb and chicken kebabs were tender and seasoned to perfection, while the vegetarian options were equally delicious. The highlight of the meal was the baklava—crispy, sweet, and paired with a lovely cup of Turkish tea. It was the perfect way to end such a wonderful dining experience. If you’re looking for an authentic Turkish culinary experience, Durum is a must-visit.
